1) The Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA)

Initiated by OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development), PISA is an internationally standardized assessment that aims to evaluate education systems  Foreign Student Scholarships in France worldwide by testing students’ proficiency in mathematics, science and reading. PISA results give participating countries valuable information about educational strengths and weaknesses, identify strategies for improvement and provide a valuable tool for policy makers to gauge their country’s education system. 2) EU-LIFE Scholarship Scheme

This is a scholarship scheme organised by EU Life, and all students who are living in Europe can apply for it. The course level of study does not matter as long as it lasts at least 3 months.

3) MECS – French Governmental Scholarships

MECS is one of a handful of Foreign Student Scholarships in France that are funded by the French government. It offers high school graduates who are studying at an institute of higher education (university, grande école, or classe préparatoire aux grandes écoles) outside their home country (i.e., as international students) a tuition waiver and monthly stipend of €400 to help offset costs related to study abroad.

4) CEEPUS – The Central European Exchange Program for University Studies

To be eligible, candidates must hold a degree from an accredited higher education institution, demonstrate financial need and have sufficient proficiency in written and spoken French. 6) Alfred Bader Program

This is one of Canada’s top scholarships, and it comes with a cool $70,000 over two years. The program is open to students enrolled at a university outside of Canada who are planning to study at a Canadian institution for at least one year, and funding can be used for tuition and living expenses. Deadlines: January 15th each year.

7) Embassy of France – UK Scholarship Scheme

Is available to students who are nationals of a country outside of European Union (EU) member states, Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand and United States. The Scholarship allows undergraduate students to study at undergraduate level in all fields except medicine and dentistry. Students may apply for one year either within their first degree or after completion of their first degree up to PhD level.

8) ANR scholarship scheme, Undergraduate & Master’s degree programmes

ANR (Agence Nationale de la Recherche) offers scholarships, PhD fellowships and grants for postgraduate research programmes. Undergraduate and Master’s degree programmes: ANR also provides financial aid for foreign students pursuing undergraduate or master’s degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Health fields of study at French universities.

9) La Cité scholarships scheme

The Cité scholarship scheme is open to students from a non-French speaking country who are undertaking an Erasmus+ Foreign Student Scholarships in France or those who study or train in a French university. The aim of Cité scholarships is to facilitate internationalisation at all levels of education by encouraging foreign students, particularly Erasmus students, to come and study, train or do research for a period of no more than six months at a French educational establishment.
