- Applicant must have achieved at least an A- average (or equivalent) in his/her last years of study (full-time equivalent) another expected condition is that if the student already completed two years of a graduate degree program at the time of application, then the students will only be examined by his/her overall average of at least A- (or equivalent) on his/her all the courses.
- Those students who withdraw fail and repeat and drop their courses at the time of scholarship application must have to repay the course fee to his/her institution in order to be eligible for Ontario Graduate Scholarship Program (OGSP).
- If students already hold any one of SSHRC, NSERC, CIHR, or QEII-GSST from any given year then those students are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.
- Students may have to accept part-time teaching jobs, research assistantships, or any other paid employment. Ans this will not disturb the daily routine of his/her degree program routine
- Applicants who are defaulters by the Canada loan program or any other loan program are not eligible to apply for this scholarship program.
The Ontario Graduate Scholarship Program (OGSP) in Science and Technology will not be awarded to those students who have completed their fourth year of a doctoral degree.
