1# UNE Excellence in Service Award

This scholarship is for employees of UNE, students currently enrolled at UNE, and community members who have demonstrated their commitment to making a difference in their local communities. Awarded on an annual basis, it covers four semesters’ worth of tuition fees. Terms and conditions apply.

2# UNE Undergraduate Scholarships at the University of New England

The UNE Undergraduate Scholarship is valued at up to $3,000 per year and is based on an applicant’s overall GPA. To be eligible, students must be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate program within 6 months after high school graduation. International students are not eligible unless they have completed their secondary education outside of Australia. Students are awarded 1 semester or 2 semesters (depending on where they are studying) to study in a specific subject area determined by UNE Faculty academic staff.

3# UNE Bond University of New England  Scholarship

Scholarships are awarded to entering freshmen based on academic merit. To be eligible, students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and rank in the top 10% of high school graduating class. Recipients also receive free room and board during their first year of attendance at UNE; renewable for up to 4 years if maintain a GPA, full-time status, and 2.5 cumulative grade point average after completion of freshman year.

4# UNE Live Well, Dine Well Scholarship

The Live Well, Dine Well Scholarship will award $1,000 to two recipients. It is open to any incoming UNE undergraduate student who has demonstrated a commitment to living healthfully through healthy eating or physical activity. The scholarship application includes two short essays and two letters of recommendation. One essay should describe how you live your life in a way that promotes wellness—what are your wellness priorities? And why are they important to you?

5# UNE Leader in Me Leadership Essay Competition

In celebration of our 30th anniversary, a $500 scholarship is available to high school seniors who write an essay on how they will make their school and community a better place. The competition will be judged by current UNE students and consists of two parts: a 500-word essay submission in which applicants must demonstrate leadership experience and/or potential; and a five-minute video submission that includes applicants sharing some information about themselves, as well as completing one or more assigned tasks in under five minutes.

6# University of New England  Scholarship for UNE International Student

The International Student Scholarship covers tuition fees and may include a stipend to assist with living costs. Applicants must be from outside Australia and have been offered full-time enrolment in a degree program.

7# Carver Merritt Memorial Scholarships at the University of New England

This prize is offered to a student who has demonstrated excellence in English. The award is presented each year by Dr. Malcolm J. Carver, Jr., former president of Emery College, and honors his late father, Dr. Carver Merritt, Professor Emeritus at UNE.

8# Travelling Australia Competition

There are several competitions throughout Australia where you can win big money. The Travelling Australia Competition is one example, with around $10,000 available to be won.
