Scholarship Duration

The duration of different scholarships offered by the government of Colombia is given below:

Masters degree:

• 24 months (4 semesters)

Ph.D. degree:

• 48 months (8 Semesters)

Spanish language course:

• Upto 6 months

Specialization

• 18 months (3 semesters)

Eligibility Criteria for Colombia Government Scholarship 

In order to apply for the ICETEX scholarship you need to fulfill the following criteria required  by the ICETEX:

• All international students can apply.
• Citizens of Colombia are not eligible.
• NO IELTS is required.
• Students must not have martial relations in Colombia.
• The age limit is 50 years. Students must not be older than 50 years.
• Every applicant can enroll in a maximum of three-degree programs.
• You must have a bachelor’s degree, in the case of a Ph.D. scholarship, you must have a master’s scholarship.

NOTE:

Proficiency in the Spanish language is essential for successful applicants, as most of the courses are taught in Spanish. Applicants may be required to provide proof of their language proficiency through standardized tests such as the DELE or the SIELE.

How to Apply for the Government of Colombia Scholarship 2024?

Students can submit their application in the office or if you are International students you can apply through Online Portal.

Shortlisted candidates may be invited for an interview, either in person or through video conferencing. The interview provides an opportunity for the selection committee to assess the applicant’s communication skills, intellectual curiosity, and commitment to their chosen field of study.
